Volunteer with Ethan’s Reason:

Ethan’s Reason has held 5K run/walk events, shirt sales, and in-kind drives that have only successfully operated with the vital support of community members volunteering their time. Check the Blog / Events page to find any current events that may need volunteers!

 

Raise and Spread Awareness:

Wear your Ethan’s Reason “Carpe Diem” shirts/gear, Use social media to educate your family, friends, and followers by sharing Ethan’s Reason page on Facebook. Participate in  International Batten Disease Awareness Day on June 9th , Share and participate in National Rare Disease Day on February 28th, attend a Rare Disease event at the State Capitol.

 

Hold a Fundraiser for Ethan’s Reason:

Community based fundraisers such as garage sales, lemonade stands, craft sales, small business events, and online platform fundraising (e.g., Facebook Fundraising, GoFundMe, etc.) are all important ways of helping raise awareness and funds that will allow us to continue our mission.

 

Support in-kind donation drives:

Ethan’s Reason conducts donation drives for partner organizations such as craft/food/supply drives for Faith’s Lodge or toy/blanket/book drives for the children’s palliative care/hospice programs.

 

Tribute donation

Whether it be a loved one with Batten Disease or another beloved member of your family or community, a donation to Ethan’s Reason in their honor or memory is a gift that keeps on giving, while recognizing and celebrating the people who are most important to you.
